Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Social › Abortion
9>9 Personal answerPro-choice, and providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
9>9 Personal answerThe categorization of firearms needs a full overhaul, many citizens rely on firearms to help make ends meet through hunting - a $50 hunting license can provide hundreds of dollars of meat for a family. However, firearms that many gun collectors and sportsman like to have need a better process for acquiring them to prevent firearms from ending up in the hands of criminals or disturbed persons. Why owning semi-automatic firearms with High-capacity magazines requires less hassle to own and purchase than acquiring a driver's license in many states is absurd. Some firearms should require a license similar to a driver's license, along with a (free) mental evaluation. The license could also be federally recognized, allowing for concealed carry of smaller firearms in all 50 states. |
Social › Planned Parenthood Funding
9>9 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Armed Teachers
9>9 Personal answerAs long as educators are properly trained and licensed, I see no issue. But some school districts have horribly under trained staff that I wouldn't trust with a No. 2 Pencil, much less a gun. |
the Environment › Climate Change
9>9 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Taxes
9>9 Personal answerTax Reform is needed, but it should be to abolish the private tax service sector, making taxes easier and less expensive for all citizens and allowing citizens to do taxes without having to resort to experts to do their taxes. Loopholes in the tax code that allows multi-billion dollar corporations to recieve tax returns without actually paying any taxes must be fixed, and in exchange for support, corporate taxes should be lowered. Self-employment tax codes should be reformed to be income-based. Taxes should not be so high on the wealthy, but they should still remain higher than on the middle and lower classes. How taxes are used should also be redistributed to allow for more equal funding for important services such as the schools, which are almost exclusively funded by property taxes - which contributes to the rich/poor divide. |
Education › Critical Race Theory in K-12 Education
9>9 Personal answerCritical Race Theory is a perfectly fine avenue of study, but I think should be integrated into History or civics classes rather than it's own class. Studying how current institutions are effected by previous racial biases is not a bad thing. |
Education › Free College for All
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Education › Student Loans
9>9 Personal answerNo, reform to allow for 100% government funded higher education - we wouldn't need to raise taxes if Congress would fix the tax code. |
Social › Government Mandates
9>9 Personal answerPrivate Health Insurance should be irrelevant for most American citizens. |
Healthcare › Medicaid
9>9 Personal answerYes, but I prefer switching to a single payer healthcare system |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Immigration Healthcare
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Elections › Voter Fraud
9>9 Personal answerWe already issue Photo ID to most students in High School - We should register every citizen to vote their senior year of High School (usually when most people turn 18) and also allow them to use their school ID as a real photo ID to vote. Solves all problems with one stroke of a legislative pen. |
Healthcare › COVID Employment Health Pass
9>9 Personal answerThe government already requires vaccinations for all sorts of businesses. Adding the COVID vaccine is no different - however there should be exceptions for those with health complications that prevent the safe administration of vaccines. |
Immigration › Border Wall
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › Gun Liability
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Defunding the Police
9>9 Personal answerPolice forces should be paid more and their funding increased in order to provide better training and to allow for selection of better candidates that are more disciplined, training them on deescalation strategies. Hold sheriffs accountable for wasting police funding on equipment some militaries would envy. |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Demilitarize the Police
9>9 Personal answerNo |
the Environment › Dakota Access Pipeline
9>9 Personal answerNo, but reroute the pipeline away from Native American land |
Immigration › In-State Tuition
9>9 Personal answerNo |
Foreign Policy › United Nations
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Healthcare › Obamacare
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Elections › Electoral College
9>9 Personal answerThe electoral college prevents true change to our country because of the winner-take-all system. Delegate votes should be distributed based on voter percentage along with a ranked-choice system of voting. |
Foreign Policy › Military Spending
9>9 Personal answerMilitary spending should be reduced to 2% of GDP, meeting the recommended amount in the NATO charter. We should also work with our allies to have them be more prepared to work together, rather than letting the US do all the work. Although this idea is for a time when it is more peaceful, in our current state I believe defense spending should remain the same. |
Science › Nuclear Energy
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Science › GMO Labels
9>9 Personal answerYes |
Housing › Homeless Encampments
9>9 Personal answerreinstate asylums and provide them with adequate funding to keep the conditions humane for insane and unwell individuals. |
Transportation › Public Transportation
9>9 Personal answerOur Public transportation is non-existent, and our over-focus on highways and automobiles is killing the upward mobility of the poor. A car is the first step on the path to the middle class in America, and it has been a poor decision. Public transportation should be heavily invested into, why we don't have more high-speed rails or busses is beyond ridiculous. |
Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
9>9 Personal answerNo |
the Environment › Paris Climate Agreement
9>9 Personal answerNo |
National Security › Foreign Assassination
9>9 Personal answeryes, but only if there is undeniable evidence that they are planning to or have attacked any country |
National Security › Mexican Drug Cartels
9>9 Personal answerWork with the Mexican government to deal with this issue, likely using Special Forces and Intelligence operatives to supplement the Mexican government's efforts. Violating the sovereignty of Mexico to fight drug cartels is a horrible idea that only makes NATO look like what Russia claims it is, an arm of American Imperialism. |
Foreign Policy › Jerusalem
9>9 Personal answerI think we should stay out of this issue at the moment - this is a complex issue that is mostly the British's fault. |
Housing › High density residential buildings
9>9 Personal answerYes |
the Economy › Decentralized Finance
9>9 Personal answerNo |
