Domestic Policy › Gun Liability
8>8 Personal answerI don't think they ca sue them because the manufacturers did not do thing wrong per say. Guns themselves are not inherently evil, it's the people who use them for harm that cause damage. The only thing they can possibly be sued for is weak background checks, since they sold the guns before properly asking that they wouldn't be sued for harm. Even so, the companies cannot be held accountable for someone else's actions if they stayed within the laws of the state. Gun laws need to be tighter, not law suits. |
Crime › Defunding the Police
8>8 Personal answerI don't think funding should be take. away, as this will cause more of the "good officers" to seek higher paying jobs and increase the issue. Police are necessary and are part of the social contract that comes along with society. However, I do think that if a police person has shown that they are corrupt or are discriminating, they should not be protected from prosecution simply because they are police. Police need to earn our trust (if they've lost it) and their main job is to protect us, the citizens. |
