Conflict is hardwired into the human brain, because opposing ideas could harm one's ideals, happiness, or survival. As long as people have any sort of power and an opinion that differs from another person with power, conflict is inevitable. Even children fight over trivial things, and what are politicians but children with armies at their beck and call?
