Yes, because gas should be affordable for those who need it. However, we should simultaneously be phasing out the use of gasoline for more sustainable options. Additionally, our gas tax doesn't determine the fate of our infrastructure. Our government can easily take from the near billions of dollars they spend on our military in order to aid failing road projects and to provide other much needed infrastructure.

Only if it is replaced by either carbon tax or more ideally by a combination of tariffs on foreign oil and taxes on oil production and refinement
