Do you support the use of nuclear energy?
No, we should invest in cleaner alternatives such as wind, hydroelectric, thorium, and geothermal
Those alternatives are great, however, to reduce the damage of climate change NOW I think moving the nuclear energy is the best solution while we wait for some of the more accessible energy sources to catch up in their power production capabilities. Nuclear energy is almost 100% clean, and nuclear waste has been reduced extensively since the 1970's, there would be little waste left after it would all be used - and would you rather us breath in the vapors of gas and coal or what little waste there is from a nuclear plant to be placed in a bunker in the Mojave?
Not everywhere has access to geothermal or Hydroelectric. Wind and Solar is inefficient in certain climates and the technology itself can't replace coal, gas, or oil power plants in how much energy they produce, some of these sources also take up lots of space - but Nuclear energy can replace everything, right now, with zero carbon emissions, it just needs to be subsidized for the huge start up costs.
