No, but teachers should be given the option to go through a rigorous process train and certify to carry on school grounds, or have a firearm secured in the classroom. Students are too much of a risk around firearms and having the weapons locked and secured out of reach while in hallways and classrooms would be ideal. But, adding in biometric lock boxes next to panic buttons in classrooms that can secure a firearm would be ideal. Teachers could be licensed and trained (with annual in-service style training classes) and keep a firearm secured in the classroom with them to be easily accessed in the event of an active gunman.
