Lots of reasons this makes sense but kind of odd to be hemming and hawing and publicly teasing this for two months.

 @C0nstituti0nalIguanaRepublican from New Jersey commented…1mo1MO

Wasn't Trump not allowed to do so by the courts? Imagine Biden knows that so this is kind of theatre, unless they think the courts will cooperate this time.

 @LyingBobolinkLibertarian from New York agreed…1mo1MO

The theater is the point! Get caught trying, deflect blame onto intransigent Rs

 @CruelLapwingPeace and Freedom from New York agreed…1mo1MO

Slowing taking off the bandage instead of just getting the pain over with.

 @FranchiseToucanNo Labelsfrom Maine commented…1mo1MO

Could have done this a long time ago. Consciously chose not to…

 @AwedMandat3Patriotfrom Minnesota commented…1mo1MO

So he could’ve done it the entire time and was allowing millions of illegals in the country on purpose. Makes sense

 @ChameleonMattRepublican from Pennsylvania agreed…1mo1MO

He’s supposed to wait for the will of the people thru their representatives to vote in the way they’re supposed to… but it’s been nothing but blocking and obstruction from GOP in Congress on the border bills!!!

 @ObsessedVetoPatriotfrom Michigan commented…1mo1MO

Biden in January: “I’ve done all I can do to secure the border”

Today: Biden is (supposedly) planning to issue an executive order similar to Trump’s border strategy

 @MajorityJackalRepublicanfrom Maine commented…1mo1MO

Much of the damage is already done. Unless he plans to expel illegals, it's not even close to enough.

Do you think it's fair for a president to have the power to dramatically limit who can seek asylum, without needing approval from other parts of the government?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1mo1MO

How would you feel if your family needed to seek safety and a new life in another country, but were denied entry because of such an executive order?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1mo1MO

How does changing policies on asylum-seekers impact your view of a country's moral and ethical responsibilities toward vulnerable populations?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1mo1MO

Consider the balance between a country's right to control its borders and an individual's right to seek asylum; where should the line be drawn?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…1mo1MO

If you were in the shoes of an asylum-seeker at the southern border, how would you react to this proposed executive order?

 @SalamiDukePatriotfrom Colorado commented…1mo1MO

1.Inept president takes executive actions that creates a dangerous border crisis.

2.Ignores crisis for 3 years.

3.Proposes reform that would actually codify measures that caused the border crisis.

4.Same inept president scrambles in election year to reverse all failed policies.

Zero tolerance for anyone coming from a country not physically tied to the USA southern border. No Africa, Aisa, Europe, Caribbean....if they fly to Mexico etc. Instead of a USA International airport, they are attempting to circumnavigate our system. REFUSED!
