Thirty years ago, Biden and Bill Clinton worked hard to eliminate student loan bankruptcy, and allowed usurious banks to shake as much money as possible from the pockets of student loan borrowers, one of whom was me. To which I DON'T say, Bah! Humbug! I say better late than never. Apparently, Biden had an epiphany. Oddly enough, it was Trump who convinced me to go bankrupt on my student loan debt interest just before Biden was able to take away my ability to do so. I paid back all of the principal, just went bankrupt on the interest. There I was, living paycheck to paycheck, trying to pay off the loans, and Donald was going bankrupt at every opportunity, stiffing his employees, contractors, and everyone else to whom he owed money. And I concluded that bankruptcy shouldn't be a privilege reserved for rich people. I took some heat for doing that, but it was one of the smartest things I've ever done. Decades later, I have no debt, money in the bank, and a better credit rating than Trump. Go Joe!!
