No, religion should never be part of politics, as we have seen from history, it only leads to bloodshed, corruption, conservatist mindset, and many more horrible things.

The church is not as important as it used to be. So few people go to church every Sunday now and so many generations have trauma from the catholic church. Why should we listen to something that has caused so many problems in 'the name of god'?
