It's funny through: if you join the military, you live in a socialist (almost communist) system. Your food is paid for, housing paid for, free college, free health-care, job security. So why are the right wingers so pro military and so many service members pro Republican?
I'm a socialist because if country had more socialistic traits, I wouldn't of had to serve my country the way that I serve now. If I was born in Canada, I could of seen doctors knowing I wouldn't have to pay a fortune. The problem with Capitalism is greed, and making things people need reliant on profits isn't what's best for the country as a whole.
I guess I'd put it this way: the reason you went to school k-12, can drive on the road, have cops & fireman, and can drink clean water and eat food you know is safe is mainly because of socialistic laws and programs. Your taxes going to a frail blind old man who can't work is socialism.
If we are only as strong as our weakest links, why can't we charge billionaires and trillion dollar companies with making sure everyone eats tonight? I thought everyone liked the story of Robin Hood.
