Should there be more or less privatization of veterans’ healthcare?
In 2019 the Trump administration proposed shifting billions of dollars from government-run veterans’ hospitals to private health care providers. The guidelines would make it easier for veterans to receive care in privately run hospitals and have the government pay for it. Veterans would also be allowed access to a system of proposed walk-in clinics, which would serve as a bridge between V.A. emergency rooms and private providers. Less. Assimilate the VA with a broader single-payer system
@9D6R7QC8mos8MO
Less. Assimilate the Veterans Affairs healthcare program into one, large single payer healthcare program so veterans can access high-quality healthcare at all times.
Less and More, veterans should be fully covered to see any doctor of their choice both within the VA healthcare system or in private practice
@8H6V2PM3yrs3Y
This question needs to be reworded. Not all Veterans receive healthcare from the VA. Many that are not fully disabled or retired go on to other jobs which give them the opportunity to use other healthcare options. Also, there had been some changes to Vets being allowed to choose their primary care doctor. Is this question regarding sole reliance on VA health benefits?
@8QR2KDT3yrs3Y
I think it's fine as it is.
@8J5PM983yrs3Y
I am happy with the current privatization of Veterans healthcare

@8YSMXC42yrs2Y
More, and the Government shouldn't be involved in healthcare
@8SQYSXD3yrs3Y
They should have the choice to receive healthcare in either form, private or government.
@8NMTXR9Republican3yrs3Y
I think veterans' should get lowered or free healthcare just because of what they did for our county.
@sophlaneProgressive 3yrs3Y
Why not make healthcare free for all Americans and not just veterans? See I get your reasoning for why they should get free healthcare, but every single working American, rich or poor, help create this country together. If free universal healthcare was implemented, this would not have to be a large problem.
@9L4R9YCRepublican3 days3D
I think we should fix the healthcare system that we already have, which includes veteran's healthcare. Everyone should be able to see any medical professional and be prescribed a drug, if there is no interference with other drugs prescribed and will help the patient or if it is life saving.
@9L4LS5W3 days3D
I don't want to replace the VA, but veterans should have the option to seek private care if they want
@9L35WPS6 days6D
All veterans sent to war by our government should be granted an all expenses paid health card to use with the Drs of their choice. The government should feel the weight of its decisions to participate in interventionist actions outside of our borders and veterans should not have to fight for adequate care for the issues that come from fighting in these wars.
@9K9RQ6B 1wk1W
Hard to say. I’d like to see more funding go into the public sector of healthcare for veterans, but I’d also like for them to get even better healthcare if they can afford it
@9KYLVY21wk1W
Veterans should be covered just as much as every other person in the US, where everyone has access the healthcare. Socialize medicine and healthcare.
@9KXGNYF2wks2W
We should have a single-payer system where anyone, including veterans, can see any doctor they choose.
@9KXFTXL2wks2W
More, add the option for a personal health savings account; More, veterans should be able to see any doctor of their choice; and improve the current syster.
@9KWD3FL2wks2W
Everyone has a right to perfect or as close to perfect health as possible. Make all healthcare free and all medicines at max $10.
