I can't believe we're seeing yet another example of how the charter school system can be manipulated for personal gain. It's absolutely essential that we have a transparent and fair investigation into these allegations against the HISD Superintendent. Public funds should always be used to directly benefit the students of Texas, not diverted out of state or into the pockets of charter school founders.

Honestly, this whole situation with the Houston ISD Superintendent just highlights the need for more transparency and less government involvement in education. If schools, charter or otherwise, were allowed to operate more freely without the heavy hand of bureaucracy, then maybe we wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.

Texas School Funding Debate: Inquiry sought into Houston ISD Superintendent's charter school ties

https://yahoo.com/news/texas-school-funding-debate-inquiry

HOUSTON - Is the state planning to investigate claims of Houston ISD Superintendent Mike Miles funneling Texas taxpayer dollars ... and if there's a loophole in those laws that allows Texas tax dollars to go out of state, that loophole needs to be closed ...

Should there be stricter laws controlling how tax dollars are allocated to schools, especially when it involves charter schools across state lines?

Does the idea of a superintendent directing funds to charter schools he founded raise concerns about fairness in how public funds are used?
