It's really heartening to see these steps towards peace, especially given how much suffering the conflict has caused on both sides. The idea that Hamas is even considering a cease-fire proposal from Israel feels like a ray of hope in what's been a very dark and difficult situation. It's been so tough to watch the news, knowing the kind of humanitarian crises that have unfolded in Gaza, so the thought that there could be an end in sight is incredibly relieving.
