Seeing the Philippines and the US ramp up their military drills to this scale, especially in such a sensitive area as the South China Sea, really feels like a step in the wrong direction. It's like we're favoring militarization over diplomacy and peaceful negotiation, ignoring the long-term consequences of escalating military presence in already tense regions. Instead of strengthening military ties, shouldn't we focus on building diplomatic bridges and seeking solutions that respect the sovereignty and rights of all nations involved?
