It is difficult to accept that a country as beautiful as Brazil is being destroyed and kidnapped by a few with board interests censoring each and every mortal who questions them. They define themselves as "gods of the Supreme Court".

And now, according to a journalist from maistream media, ANATEL (a government agency that regulates telecommunications in Brazil), is on standby awaiting orders from the Minister of the Supreme Court, to take X off the air in Brazil.

We in Brazil are living under a dictatorship. We no longer have freedom of expression. Just by commenting here, I could be under surveillance and risk being arrested or having my bank accounts frozen. Regardless of political leaning, without freedom of expression, there is no democracy. Our democracy has been hijacked by a judge of the Supreme Federal Court. It's time for the world to know how our country is under the control of an authoritarian regime.

If you argue that then you must also acknowledge that it was Musk who said U.S. officials engaged in “hidden state censorship in direct violation of the Constitution of the United States.” and Musk claimed the records showed that the “Government paid Twitter millions of dollars to censor info from the public” and that means the U.S. government suppresses free speech.

So it’s not just in that part of the world … it’s in your part of the world as well.

"We do not know the reasons these blocking orders have been issued [and] We are prohibited from saying which court or judge issued the order, or on what grounds.”

Smells bad.

In a conflict between a country's judiciary and a social media platform's policies, whose side would you support and why?

One thing in life you can be certain of, when any Govt, especially in that part of the world, wants to shut down what anybody says about anything, and they tries to say its because they are a threat to democracy, you can be damn sure that isnt the reason.

Almost as bad as "for your safety" or "for your freedom of choice"

One thing Musk isnt is a liar. And that is the one thing politicians mostly are.

If De Moraes shuts X down there will be all sorts of consequences. What will bring more trouble to the people of my country, but it is a price to be paid to restore freedom!

Should a single individual or corporation have the power to defy a country's legal system based on their own interpretation of free speech?
