What changes would you make to your spending habits if a luxury tax was introduced on high-priced goods?

Obviously, any purchase of luxury items would be more scrutinized, and the overall purchases of said items would be less.

If things were more expensive I would buy them less and switch to alternative products which might cost less.

I would spend on the things that I need the most, instead of what I do not need.

I would still buy the expensive stuff, but I also know that it would increase shoplifting on these items. I made the money, i should be allowed to spend it.

If I can afford the item, but not the tax. I can't afford it so if I couldn't budget for an item I wouldn't get it.

I would protest against taxes indefinitely, since the government can just print more money.
